A 35% window tint balances privacy and visibility with moderate sunlight blocking. In contrast, a 20% tint offers higher privacy but reduces visibility, especially at night. Choose our options of window tint based on your priorities for privacy, sun protection, and safety.

Window tinting percentages for florida

Firehouse Auto Spa serves customers who reside in a bright, sunny state, and the desire to get window tint films installed is prominent. In Jacksonville, Florida, the surrounding communities, and all across the state of Florida, there are specific regulations surrounding how dark and reflective window tinting can be on your automobile.

Here is a breakdown of what requirements Florida has for different vehicles:
Window tint darkness regulations are diverse depending on if you have a Sedan versus a minivan, SUV, or truck. For windshields, Sedans, SUVs, minivans, and trucks are not allowed to have window tint films anywhere below the manufacturer’s AS-1 line. For both front windows, Sedans and larger vehicles must allow in at least 28% of light, while back and rear windows of Sedans must allow 15% of light in, and larger vehicles can allow in as low as 6%.

Window tint films must not be more than 25% reflective if they are applied to the front driver and passenger windows on both Sedans and SUVs, and for back driver and passenger side windows, only 35% reflection is allowed. To learn more about these and other rules regarding window tint films in our state, please visit the Florida DOT website.

Repelling UV Rays Away from Your Interior

Acting like sunglasses for your vehicle’s interior, Suntek Window Tint Films resist the harmful ultraviolet rays given off by the sun. This not only protects your interior surfaces from premature fading or degradation, it also helps keep your passengers safe from sunburn through windows.

Interior Temperature Moderation for comfort

All vehicles sit outside for certain periods of the day, most commonly when the sun is at its hottest. Window tinting helps regulate the interior temperature of your vehicle, increasing comfort as you hop in after a long day and keeping your air conditioner from being excessively taxed.

Enhanced Look and Improved Aesthetic Value

The variety of window tinting products we install from Suntek have a special look to them. Quite reminiscent of a sports car, all vehicles now stand to experience the ultimate in aesthetic improvement with a sleek, dark shade on applicable glass surfaces. This will increase the value of your ride just as much as the defensive protection the films provide.

Privacy Shielding the Inside of Your Ride

Aside from heat and UV ray resistance, Suntek Window Tint Films protect your interior from the dangers of prying eyes. An automobile with dark, tinted windows is a deterrent to burglars in that they cannot see if anything of value is sitting out in your ride, drawing too much attention to them as they spend excess time trying to peek in.
